I can’t believe it’s been a couple of weeks since I last checked in! Our Briar Woods freshmen boys wrapped up the basketball season with a win, making it an undefeated season! It was truly a pleasure watching the team this year. As I was saying to another mom, there was no pressure; we hadn’t expected John to make the team, so every moment he played was an unexpected moment of joy!
Speaking of John…he turned 15 yesterday. He’s six foot and growing…and sometimes I really miss not being able to pick him up! He had a great day, with his aunt and uncle stopping by for fun on the Wii! We’re doing birthday dinner tonight and off to watch BWoods varsity in their first playoff game.
And speaking of basketball…there is a benefit night for the Ashburn Shooting Stars 12U team at Fuddruckers on Thursday night. It’s always great to support our local schools and teams through no-cook night!
